Axon said on November 5 it will invest about $1.2 billion in drone maker Skydio, in a mix of cash and Axon stock subject to final terms, at a $5.2 billion pre-money valuation. The deal adds about 20% to Axon's fully diluted ownership, taking its stake to 37%, and combines primary capital for Skydio with share purchases from existing holders. Axon also becomes Skydio's exclusive public-safety distributor in the U.S. and Canada. Skydio serves more than 1,500 public-safety customers and, according to Axon, expects about $1 billion of bookings this fiscal year. Closings are expected in Q4 2026 and Q1 2027.
